Guidelines on Research Project Application, NKLPMG

The National Key Laboratory of Plant Molecular Genetics (NKLPMG) was approved for its organization in 1986 and was founded in 1988. It is affiliated to the CAS Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology (SIPPE), CAS. NKLPMG focuses on plant genetics and molecular biology. In order to better promote the exchange and cooperation at home and abroad, NKLPMG set up open projects and welcome scientific researchers engaged in related fields to the laboratory for guest or cooperative research.

The main research areas of open projects focus on plant molecular genetics and functional genomics, plant molecular physiology and plant development, molecular mechanisms of plant-environment interactions, and new technology for plant important agronomic traits design.

For applicants:

1) The applicant shall have a doctor's degree or a professional title of sub-senior or above, and have considerable theoretical and technical accumulation in the applied field.

2) The open project relies on the management of the research group of NKLPMG, so the applicant needs to determine the collaborator which you wish to work with in advance.

3) The application should accord with the research directions of open projects.

4) Each open project will be executed for 1-2 years with a fund of RMB 50,000 according to the project management method.

5) The research results shall be shared by NKLPMG and the researcher's work unit, and special cases shall be decided by the two parties through consultation. When publishing the paper, it shall be noted in the acknowledgement that it is funded by "National Key Laboratory of Plant Molecular Genetics".

6) Please note the annual notification for open project application.
